President's Easter Greetings

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE AT EASTER 2018 Easter is the commemoration of the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who died on the cross as a sacrificial lamb to redeem us. The only beloved Son of God came to the earth to save us from death and fulfill the God’s purpose. The new convenant would be an everlasting convenant (Isaiah 55 :3). He gave VICTORY over eternal separation as the curtain hanging in the temple was torn in deux from top to bottom (Matthew 27 :51). Easter is also a time to remember both the God’s love but also the great mental, emotional and physical sufferings of the Lord. In the garden of Gethsemane he prayed « O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me except I drink it, thy will be done (Matthew 26 :42). He felt sorrow at the trials he would face, the betrayal of Judas who ironically betrays Him with a kiss (Luke 22 :48). He was uncomforted by his sleeping disciples (Matthew 26 :40-42).
