CHRISTMAS MESSAGE

My Beloved Sisters,

 

Merry Christmas and prayers for a better, healthier and more prosperous New Year to each of you my beautiful Baptist Sisters.  I greet you in the matchless name of Christ, the Saviour born to save us all.


As we commemorate the birth of Jesus, it is my prayer that God will renew our spirits and hearts to serve Him and humanity. 

 

I know this 2020 has been a difficult year filled with uncertainties. Many of us have lost loved ones, our businesses and means of livelihood have been threatened or have disappeared,  our personal health has been compromised and we have sometimes felt like all hope is lost.

I stopped by to encourage you and to remind you that your anchor is set on Master Jesus. He is the giver of life and the restorer of life. He was born to give us opportunities for joy, peace and prosperity in this present life and hope  for eternal life.

 

Let us look to the new year with expectancy that comes with belief in Jesus. Let us smile through our difficulties because we know a new day has dawned. Let us embrace the changes around us as Christians knowing that when we are weak  God is strong and He wiil show up to guide us through.

 

I pray the blessings of Abraham, the favor of David, the wisdom of Solomon, the obedience of Noah, the protection of Daniel, the courage of Esther and the faith of the woman who touched Jesus’ garment will be upon your lives, your families and your ministries.

 

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  Go out and share the good news that unto us a son is born and His name shall be called Emmanuel, wonderful Counsellor, the Prince of Peace!

 MESSAGE DE NOËL

 

Mes Bien-Aimées Sœurs,

Je vous salue dans le précieux nom du Christ, notre Sauveur, né pour nous sauver toutes.

Alors que nous commémorons la naissance de Jésus, je voudrais souhaiter, à chacune de vous, mes magnifiques Sœurs Baptistes, Joyeux Noël et formuler des prières pour une nouvelle année 2021, meilleure, saine et  prospère. Que Dieu par sa grâce renouvelle notre esprit et notre cœur pour Le servir ainsi que toute l'humanité.

Je sais que l’année 2020 a été une année difficile, pleine d’incertitudes, marquée par la pandémie du Covid-19. Beaucoup d'entre nous ont perdu des êtres chers ; nos entreprises et nos moyens de subsistance ont été menacés ou ont disparu ; notre santé personnelle a été compromise et nous avons parfois eu l'impression que tout espoir était perdu.

Je viens vous encourager et vous rappeler que votre ancre est posée sur le Maître Jésus. Il donne la vie, il restore la vie (Jean 10 :10). Il est né pour nous donner des opportunités de joie, de paix et de prospérité dans cette vie présente et l'espérance de la vie éternelle.

Resolutions accepted at the BWUA meetings in Liberia August 2022

  Resolution 1: ELECTION AND APPOINTMENT OF BWUA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE Context: Article VIII of the statutes of the Union of African Baptist Women (BWUA) states the following: • Members are elected every five (05) years at the BWUA Continental Conference by a Nominating Committee. • The Ex-officio members are elected by the Baptist World Alliance – Women's Department (BWA-WD). In addition, the Executive Committee of the All Africa Baptist Fellowship (AABF) recommends that the cycles of the BWUA mandates be aligned with those of the AABF, which is not currently the case; Accordingly, the Conference of the Union of African Baptist Women held from 14 to 17 August 2022 in Monrovia, Liberia accepts the following resolution: Resolution:   In order to realign the mandates of the BWUA Executive Committee with those of the AABF Executive Committee, Article VIII of the BWUA Statutes remains unchanged but the Executive Committee elected at the conference held from 14 to 17 August 2022 will have
