Our President Jane Mwangi, Easter Message.

Greetings my sisters - Happy Easter!

The message of Easter is the Word of God coming true in our lives! Jesus' death and resurrection as the way to our salvation, forgiveness, and reconciliation with God through faith in Jesus Christ.

In Matthew 28, we see after the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, the Bible tells us of these women of faith and courage who went off to the tomb of Jesus and there was a violent earthquake, an angel of the Lord came down from Heaven, rolled back the stone from the door of the tomb and sat on it and spoke to the women.

The Bible records how the guards of the tomb were so afraid of the angel that they shook and became like dead men because of the power of God. The angel’s appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. This passage shows the power of resurrection; the power of Jesus Christ in our lives. It demonstrates how Jesus Christ took power and authority over those who accept Him and repent, the protection of lightning is for those He died for. The whiteness of His kingdom symbolizes how we are supposed to keep our salvation white as snow; transparent lives in Jesus Christ.

The message of Easter was delivered by these women who were sent by the angel. Do not be afraid” (Matthew 28:5-6) is an assurance to those who know and believe in Jesus Christ.

"Go quickly and tell His Disciples He has risen!!" Women, we have the message to tell the world that Jesus has risen! Quickly! We do not have time to waste, we have the message of the Risen King! The Bible records that the women hurriedly from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, they did not walk away but ran to tell the disciples.

BUT SUDDENLY, Jesus met the women and greeted them, and they recognized His voice. “They came to Him, clasped His feet, and worshiped Him.” Ladies, we met Jesus Christ, our shepherd, we recognized His voice, and clasped His feet. We shall forever worship Jesus Christ, who died for our sins. No one else can die on the cross for us. No one else can credit our love for His ministry. No one else can accept us as women. In Matthew 28:10, we see Jesus Christ Himself, the Risen King said to the women, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee."

Dear sisters, some Theologians, and Philosophers may turn around this message of Jesus Christ about women in the ministry of Christ, but it’s very clear that Christ worked and walked with women, and we are part of the resurrection message. We can say like Paul himself in Galatians 2:20: "It’s no longer I that lives, but Christ who lives in me… He loved me and gave himself for me..."

Women, we have a responsibility to go and tell our brothers and sisters the good news of the resurrected Jesus in our lives!! Jesus is telling us today to be strong and courageous, and confidently tell the world, “The Jesus we serve is not dead! So we are not dead, women!” Neither are we crucified, but we are alive to proclaim God’s goodness in our lives. He’s alive in our lives and doing great and marvellous things. We have seen His goodness in the land of the living. Let’s celebrate Jesus Christ’s resurrection by changing our ways and making them white(clean). Let’s not be carried away by the things of this world.

I wish you the best Easter holiday. Let’s keep our faith and hope in Jesus!! AMEN!!!

Yours in Christ and blessings to you all.

Dcn. Jane Mwangi
