New Year greetings from the President

AFRICA DAY OF PRAYER - YEAR 2026

Fellow sisters of Africa, it's a New year again! Glory to God! Our 2026 theme comes from Matthew 28 : 19 - 20 and Luke 4 : 18.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed"

‎" Beyond Jerusalem Women Living the Good News." As we meet in our countries in the churches and others online, it's my prayer that we shall enjoy the company of each other as we join hands in prayer and we shall experience God's power to work for Him  as servants of His Kingdom.

‎Beyond Jerusalem: Women Living the Good News.

‎Luke 4 : 18

‎Matthew 28 : 19 - 20 ~ Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and I am with you aways, even to the end of age.

‎Jesus is commanding us ladies to spread the good news beyond our boundaries - beyond our homes, beyond our cultures and tribes to all nations of the world, spreading the gospel beyond our comfort zones, His love to people, His comfort and His Care.

‎Teaching His people how to live the good news that is embracing Jesus' message of God's Love and Salvation through faith - leading to a transformed life of hope, joy, service and sharing this message with others.

‎Living  the good news beyond Jerusalem is finding peace with God, eternal life and purposely believing  in Christ's death and resurrection reflecting His Love  and bringing Hope to the world.

‎How do I live the good news? By responding  to Jesus' call and taking the great commission beyond Jerusalem.

‎As women, we need to experience the power of God’s Word, then become the channel of that hope, healing, and divine love to the world.

‎Mark 10:45 says, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” Jesus Christ modeled a difficult service that shows us it is not easy. We shall meet challenges and difficult times as we work towards living the good news.

‎2 Chronicles reminds us to be strong and do not give up; for we will be rewarded.  Meaning that we need to persevere. We need also a conscious effort and stewardship.

‎1 Peter 4:10 says that each of you should use whatever gift you have received from God to serve others. Service to others involves humility. We have an example of Solomon in 1 Chronicles 28:9, getting instructions on the expectations of God: “Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father and serve Him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek Him, He will be found. This is a good encouragement to us women that if we serve His people and seek Him, we shall surely find Him, and He shall reward us. Our God is faithful; we serve a faithful God!!!

‎Let us trust this God whatever comes our way as we serve Him beyond our boundaries. He is with us.

‎The leadership of BWUA  thank you for being active in your countries. I thank God for all of you Baptist Women of Africa (BWUA) for your great effort and love of fellowship, allowing God to use you the past season. How can I forget the warm welcome & acceptance that I always receive from your regions and countries as your President....Thank you.

The year 2025 was a great one that more than 50 women from Africa managed to join other continents in Australia for the BWA Congress. As we pray in our countries, please let's remember to give thanks.

Thank you again for your great support and being available for God's Calling. Let's spread the good news beyond our bonds.

‎Jane Mwangi - BWUA President
